China's Carbon Peak Plan Reshapes Textile Dyeing

   China's 15th Five-Year Carbon Peak Action Plan has just been issued, and textile printing & dyeing is listed among the key water-, energy- and emission-intensive sectors for mandatory upgrading. Supercritical CO₂ waterless dyeing is riding the tailwind: zero dyeing wastewater end-to-end, CO₂ recycling above 97%, no rinsing or drying steps - pollution is intercepted right inside the workshop.
   But the tailwind is not for everyone. With the new textile wastewater discharge standard now fully in force, environmental barriers keep rising and outdated capacity keeps exiting. The compliant dyehouses left standing have long stopped competing on price - in the August off-season, leading mills in Shaoxing actually raised dyeing fees first, up RMB 100–300 per ton for light and mid shades, and RMB 300–500 for darks.
